How the builder cleans your list
Paste whatever you have: a block of tags copied from an old post, a column from a spreadsheet, or plain words. Spaces, commas and new lines separate the entries, and a # in the middle of a word starts a new tag, so #travel#photo becomes two. Each entry gets a # if it has none, and ends at the first character that cannot be part of a hashtag. Letters from any alphabet, digits and underscores stay. Tags made only of digits go, and so do duplicates, whatever their case. Pick lower case to make every tag lower case.
Groups that fit the cap
Each network has its own hashtag rules. Instagram now allows 5 per post, so the builder makes groups of 5 for Instagram and warns when you choose a bigger group. Facebook groups default to 30. Where there is no hard cap, groups default to 5, a size that reads well anywhere. Every group shows how many characters it adds to your caption.
Inline or first comment
One line gives you the tags separated by spaces, ready for the end of a caption. First comment puts five lines with a dot above the tags, so the comment shows the dots first and the tags sit below the fold.
Save your groups
Sign up for free and save each group as a hashtag group in PostBoost. In the post editor you insert a saved group in one click, and the editor counts hashtags per network before the post goes out.
