All Saints' Day (Toussaint)Public holidayFrance
Post idea: Post your opening hours or a short greeting, and schedule it the day before so it is live in the morning.
A holiday calendar is a list of chances, not a to-do list. Start by filtering for the countries your audience lives in, then pick the days that connect to what you do: a bakery has more to say on Thanksgiving than on World Password Day, and a security tool the other way round. For each day you keep, decide on one post that is useful on its own, such as opening hours, a tip, a story from your team or a customer, and write it a week ahead.
Public holidays are set by governments, and people take the day off, so they change when your audience is online and what they expect from you: opening hours, delivery cut-offs and a short greeting. Awareness days, weeks and months are run by organisations, from UN agencies to charities, to draw attention to a cause. They work best when you add something real to the cause, and they work against you when the post is only a logo and a hashtag.
Some posts follow a weekly pattern rather than a date, such as #MotivationMonday, #ThrowbackThursday or #FollowFriday. Nobody owns them, so they are not in the dated list; use them as a format for a regular series if they suit your audience.
Download the list as a CSV and add your post ideas in a spreadsheet, or import the .ics file so every day shows up in your calendar. When the posts are written, schedule them in PostBoost for all your networks at once, and see them next to the rest of your plan in the calendar view.
How to use
Pick a month, a country, a type or a topic to narrow the list. Worldwide days stay in when you pick a country.
Read each entry's source link when a date matters: public holidays link to the government page, awareness days to the organiser.
Download the filtered list as a CSV for your content plan, or as an .ics file for Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Draft the posts you want to make ahead of time and schedule them for the day.
FAQ
Are these dates official?
Every entry links to the page its date comes from. Public holidays come from government pages, such as GOV.UK for UK bank holidays or the US Office of Personnel Management for US federal holidays, and awareness days from the organiser's own site. Religious holidays that depend on the moon can move by a day, so check the source close to the date.
How often is the calendar updated?
We re-check every source when we add the next year's dates, which happens by October 1 of the year before. The date of the last check is shown on this page and in the API.
Why is a holiday on a different day than my day off?
The calendar shows the day people celebrate, because that is the day you post. When the day off moves, for example a UK substitute bank holiday or a US holiday observed on a Friday, the entry says so in its note.
Which countries are covered?
Public holidays for the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, Germany, France and Türkiye, plus worldwide awareness days. Regional holidays carry a note, such as "Scotland only" or the Australian state the date comes from.
How do I add the holidays to Google Calendar?
Filter the list, click "Download calendar (.ics)", then in Google Calendar open Settings, Import and export, and import the file into the calendar you want. Every entry becomes an all-day event; weeks and months span their days.
Should my brand post on every awareness day?
No. Pick the days that fit what you sell or care about and that you can say something useful about. A forced post on an unrelated day reads as filler; three well-chosen days a month beat thirty generic greetings.
Can I get the calendar from an API?
Yes. The PostBoost Free Tools API and MCP server return the same entries with their sources, filtered by dates, country, type and topic, so an AI agent or a script can plan posts around them.
