Social media tool picker

Tick what you need and see which social media management tools match, which needs each one misses and what its public docs do not say. Every result links to its full comparison and shows when we last checked it. No signup.

Runs in your browser: the needs you tick stay on this device. Data checked October 2026 from each vendor's own pricing and developer pages.

What you need

Runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to PostBoost.

    Use this tool from code

The same tool is a free API call, no account needed. It also works with our 9 SDKs and the MCP server.

    curl
    curl -X POST https://postboost.co/app/api/tools/social-media-tool-picker -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d '{"needs":["rest_openapi","mcp","webhooks","free_tier"]}'

    How the picker decides

Each tool has a yes, no or "not documented" answer for every need, read from its own pricing page and developer docs. Tick the needs that matter to you. A tool scores one point for every need it meets, and the list shows the tools with the most points first. Ties are listed by name, so PostBoost never wins a tie because we built the picker.

Each result lists the needs the tool meets, the needs it misses and the needs its docs do not cover. "Not documented" is not the same as no: the tool may have the feature, but we could not confirm it, so it scores no point either way.

    Shortcuts for common cases

Three buttons tick a starting set of needs. Team scheduling picks a team dashboard and a free hosted plan. Building an app picks a REST API with an OpenAPI spec, SDKs and webhooks. Running an AI agent picks an MCP server and a REST API with an OpenAPI spec. Change the ticks afterwards to fit your case.

We are one of the tools compared

PostBoost is in the list, and we wrote the picker. We use the same data as our comparison pages and show the date each tool was last checked. Prices and features change often, so open the full comparison and the vendor's own pages before you decide. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the feedback form and we will fix it.

    How to use

    1. Tick the needs that matter for your case, or start from one of the three shortcuts.
    2. Read the list: tools that meet the most of your needs come first.
    3. Check what each tool misses and what its docs do not document.
    4. Open the full comparison for the tools you are considering.

    FAQ

How does the picker rank the tools?

Each tool gets one point for every need it meets. Tools with more points come first, and tools with the same points are listed by name. PostBoost gets no extra points and no tie-break: when another tool meets more of your needs, it is listed above us.

Where does the data come from?

From the vendors' own pricing pages and developer docs, the same data as our comparison pages. Every result shows the date we last checked that tool. We re-check the data every quarter.

    What does "not documented" mean?

We could not find the answer on the tool's public pages, so we do not count it either way. The tool may still have the feature: check its docs or ask the vendor before you decide.

What counts as a native Zapier, n8n or Make app?

An official or verified app or node in that marketplace. Setup guides and generic HTTP request nodes do not count. PostBoost works with Zapier, n8n and Make through their HTTP request steps, but has no native app yet, so the picker lists those needs as missing for us.

What counts as a free hosted plan?

A plan you can use on the vendor's own servers for $0, with no end date. Free trials do not count, and neither does a free edition you host yourself: Postiz, for example, is open source and free to self-host, but its cloud plans start with a trial.

What counts as a REST API with an OpenAPI spec?

A REST API whose vendor publishes an OpenAPI description you can download. A GraphQL API, a Postman collection or docs pages alone do not count.

Is PostBoost one of the tools compared?

Yes. We make PostBoost, so read the results with that in mind. That is why the picker shows where we lose as plainly as where we win, and why every result links to a full comparison with its sources.

    Are my choices sent anywhere?

No. The picker runs in your browser, and the needs you tick are never sent to PostBoost.
