    Price guides say -
What paid deals actually pay (median) -

Price guides sit far above what measured marketplace deals pay, so treat the guide as a ceiling to negotiate from.

        How this is calculated

Price guide: one vendor range per network and tier (Shopify first, then Hootsuite); YouTube uses 1of10's $10-$50 per 1,000 expected views. Reel, carousel, dedicated video and Short are percentages of the base price: Reel 180% (a static post is about 55% of a Reel, the middle of Aspire's 50-60%); for the other ranges we take the lower bound (carousel 125%, dedicated 200%, Short 25%). Usage rights add impact.com's monthly fee for the tier times the months; exclusivity adds 20-100% of the base once. The marketplace median is OpenSponsorship's measured median paid deliverable for the tier, all networks, before adjustments.

        Two numbers, on purpose

Most influencer rate calculators give one price. This one gives two. The price-guide range comes from vendor guides such as Shopify's, one source per network and follower tier. The median comes from OpenSponsorship's paid deals: what brands actually paid creators of that size. The two are often far apart, and knowing both helps you negotiate. A creator may quote from the guide; your budget may sit closer to the median.

        How the tiers work

Creators are grouped by followers: nano (1K-10K), micro (10K-100K), mid-tier (100K-500K), macro (500K-1M) and mega (1M+). Sources draw these lines slightly differently, so the calculator names its tiers and shows the one your number falls into. Under 1,000 followers no source gives a price, so you see the nano numbers with a warning.

        What changes the price

The deliverable matters: on Instagram a Reel costs more than a static post, and on YouTube a dedicated video costs more than an integration. Usage rights and exclusivity add a share of the base price. Every adjustment the calculator applies is listed with its source, and the method explains which bound of each range it takes.

        How to use

        1. Pick the network and enter the creator's follower count.
        2. Choose the deliverable; on YouTube, enter the expected views.
        3. Add the months of usage rights and exclusivity if the deal includes them.
        4. Compare the price-guide range with the measured median, then set your offer.

        FAQ

How much do influencers charge per post?

Price guides put an Instagram post from a micro influencer (10K-100K followers) at $250-$5,000 (Shopify), but measured deals are far lower: OpenSponsorship's median paid deliverable for micro creators is $150. The calculator shows both, so you can see the gap.

Why are price guides so much higher than real deals?

Price guides are vendor estimates without a stated sample, while the medians come from paid deals. OpenSponsorship's 1,527 paid deliverables from January 2025 to June 2026 have medians of $134 to $517 from nano to macro creators, below most guide ranges. Use the guide as a ceiling and the median as a reality check.

        How is YouTube priced?

On expected views, not subscribers. 1of10 puts a sponsored integration at $10 to $50 per 1,000 expected views, a dedicated video at 2-4x an integration and a Short at 0.25-0.5x. The calculator takes the lower bound of each multiplier.

What do usage rights and exclusivity add?

Usage rights let the brand reuse the content. impact.com puts the monthly fee at 0-50% of the base rate for nano creators and at 100% or more for the biggest accounts, so the calculator multiplies it by the months. Exclusivity adds 20-100% of the base rate once.

        Why isn't LinkedIn included?

We found no primary source for LinkedIn influencer rates. The only figures we could find were second-hand, so the calculator leaves LinkedIn out rather than guess.

Does engagement rate change the price?

Sources agree that a higher engagement rate justifies a higher rate, but none gives a number we could cite, so the calculator does not adjust for it. Check engagement with the engagement rate calculator before you negotiate.

Can I use my own CPM?

Yes. Enter the expected views and your own price per 1,000 views to get a CPM estimate next to the guide range, on any network. Nothing you type is sent anywhere; the same calculation is on the free PostBoost API and MCP server.
