# Free social media audit template and scorecard

Tick the networks you want to audit and answer eight quick questions for each: profile, bio, tracked link, posting rhythm, replies, formats, pinned post and engagement rate. You get a score out of 100 per network and overall, plus the three fixes that matter most. No signup and no email.

## What the audit checks

The checklist covers the basics that decide whether a visitor understands your profile and comes back. Profile photo, name and cover image should look the same on every network. The bio should say who you help and how, with one link, and that link should carry UTM tags so your analytics show which network sends visitors. Then come the habits: posting as often as your own target, replying to comments and messages within a day, using the formats each network is built for, keeping the pinned post current and checking your engagement rate every month.

## How to use the scorecard

Answer honestly: partly is often the right answer, for example when the bio has a link but no clear offer. Unanswered questions count as no, so the score only goes up as you confirm what is in place. Start with the top fixes; they are the questions with the fewest points over all your networks, so one change often lifts several scores at once.

## From audit to routine

An audit only helps if the fixes stick. PostBoost keeps the habits in one place: one composer for all your networks, posting queues that hold your rhythm, a calendar of everything planned and analytics that show how your posts perform, so your next audit starts from real numbers.

## How to use

1. Tick the networks you want to audit.
2. Set your own posting target: how many posts a week you aim for on each network.
3. Answer the eight questions for each network with yes, partly or no.
4. Read your score per network, your overall score and your top 3 fixes.
5. Download the report as Markdown or print it, and come back after a month to compare.

## FAQ

### What is a social media audit?

A regular check of your social media profiles against a fixed list: does each profile look like your brand, say what you offer, link somewhere you can measure, post as often as you planned and answer the people who write to you. Running the same checklist every month or quarter shows what got better and what slipped.

### How is the score calculated?

Each answer scores points: yes 2, partly 1 and no 0, so a network can reach 16 points. The network score is its points out of 16 as a number from 0 to 100, rounded to the nearest whole number. The overall score adds up the points of every network you audited and divides by the maximum in the same way.

### How are the top fixes chosen?

The scorecard adds up each question's points over all the networks you audited and lists the three questions with the fewest, each with the networks where the answer was partly or no and a one-line tip. When two questions have the same points, the one earlier in the checklist comes first. Questions you answered yes everywhere never show up as fixes.

### Is there a good or average score to compare with?

No. The checklist is about your own habits, and we do not publish industry averages we cannot source. Compare your score with your own last audit instead: the downloaded report keeps every answer, so next month you can see exactly what changed.

### Why does the frequency question use my own target?

Because the right number depends on your team and your audience. Set the posts per week you can keep up on each network; the posting frequency planner shows the ranges published sources recommend if you want a starting point.

### Are my answers saved or sent anywhere?

They are saved in your browser's local storage, so a reload keeps them, and Reset clears them. Nothing is sent to PostBoost: the score, the top fixes and the report are worked out on your device.
