## Connect Telegram in three steps

2. **Make it an admin**: Add the bot to your channel as an administrator that can post messages.

## Post to Telegram from your AI agent or your code

Ask your agent: "Send this release note to our Telegram channel now." (MCP tools: `create-post`, `schedule-post`). Connecting needs a bot token, so do it in the dashboard or with the API (connectChannel). Do not paste tokens into a chat.

## Good to know

- Deleting a post in PostBoost deletes every message of it in Telegram.
- Posts link to the message for public channels.
- No analytics or comments for Telegram.
- Agents using the API can post up to 50 times per channel per day.

## Questions about Telegram

### Does it work with private channels and groups?

Yes. Use the numeric chat id (it starts with -100) for a private channel. Groups work too.

### Does the connection expire?

No. Bot tokens do not expire. If the bot is removed from the channel, the next post fails and the account is marked as needing attention.

### Can I connect Telegram on the Free plan?
