## Agents that run on their own schedule

Two built-in agents check your workspace in the background. The pre-publish checker looks at the posts due in the next 24 hours (up to a week if you set it) and proposes holding a post or fixing a caption. The failed-post fixer looks at failures and proposes a reconnect or a retry. Nothing changes until a person approves the proposal. Tools: `list-agent-proposals`, `approve-agent-proposal`.

## How it works

1. **Sign up free**: Create an account with your email. No credit card.
2. **Add PostBoost to your agent**: One URL and one sign-in. Steps for each client are on the setup page. New accounts see a Get started page that connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code in four steps.
3. **Ask in plain words**: Your agent picks the right tool. Most clients ask you before a tool changes anything, and new posts stay drafts until you ask for a schedule.

### Which AI clients work?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers. Setup steps for Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf are on the setup page.

### Can my agent publish without asking me?

New posts are drafts unless your agent schedules them, and your client can ask you before any tool that changes something. Tell your agent to keep everything as drafts and your team can review them in the calendar.

### Do the built-in agents use AI credits?

The failed-post fixer uses no AI. The pre-publish checker uses 1 AI text credit per post only when its AI review is switched on.
